![]() ![]() If you are using an outdated version of TeamViewer, then it is recommended that you update it to the latest version. I'm not sure why I hadn't thought to try that through Tv itself I don't know if I could have solved it without going to the remote machine, but hopefully that is helpful to anyone else with this problem. I am accessing my android phone from my windows PC but when I try to press and hold something on my phone through the remote control is almost immediately releases the press despite still holding left click on the screen. When trying to fix TeamViewer's Remote Control malfunctioning, the next step is to update or reinstall it. Step 2: In the TeamViewer Options window, click on the Remote Control Option on the left side of the pane. You can start a remote connection with devices or computers running the TeamViewer: Remote Control app or the TeamViewer desktop app. What ended up resolving the issue was pressing ctrl-alt-del on the remote machine to bring up the help/lock screen, and that was it! Just from that, I regained full control both locally and remotely. Step 1: Launch TeamViewer and click on the Extras tab located at the top of the widget. ![]() Turns out, I had no input control on that machine - not keyboard or mouse - even when I had ended the Tv session. I cannot begin to tell you how ludicrice it is to prevent remote control until the endpoint clicks OK. In my case, I use Tv as a mere lazy convenience to access a machine in another room of my house so, after discovering this issue, I just decided to see if there was anything wrong on the remote machine itself. (the windows that shows after each TV software upgrade. I tried checking through multiple options, particularly "disable remote input", and nothing worked. ![]() The problem mentioned in my previous post continues & although The TeamViwer QuickSupport & Host Editions are already up-to-date the full editions (both x86 & 圆4) are still having the same problem & when you try to download them v15.42. I just ran into a similar problem a few minutes ago: I could interact with the remote machine with my mouse, but all keyboard input remained inactive (this is the first time I have experienced this issue with Teamviewer). Further to my previous comment I noticed v15.42.8 was released today. This is actually more of a response to this question, but I thought would still be relevant here. ![]()
